The Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York is authorized to provide consular services on the issuance of Thai passports, Thai national ID cards, and appropriate visas for foreign nationals, the Thai civil and family registrations, the legalization, as well as the protection of Thai nationals. Its jurisdiction covers 10 states in the US; namely New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
In addition, the Royal Thai Consulate-General is also responsible for supporting and promoting Thailand’s trade, investment, culture, tourism and people-to-people relations, in close cooperation with the Thai agencies under Team Thailand (including Thai Trade Center, Thailand Board of Investment Office, Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Bank of Thailand Representative Office), with a view to achieving the goals set in the 20-Year Foreign Affairs Masterplan (2018-2037) built upon five key strategic priorities (5Ss) : Security, Sustainability, Standard, Status, and Synergy.
